WESTLIFE IN MALAYSIA

I am a fan of Westlife, by that, I mean I’ve been a massive fan of them ever since I was a teen. I love most of their songs, from their old hit songs up until their latest album. When I got the news about their 2 days concert on 8th & 9th August 2019 at Malawati Indoor Stadium, Shah Alam,  I told Ellisha, my daughter, to buy me 3 tickets. I was very fortunate to get all 3 tickets for the concert on 8th August 2019.   The tickets were for my husband, Ellisha, and me.



On the event date, we checked in at Acapella Suite Hotel Shah Alam, which is about a 10-15min walk to the stadium. The room was spacious and clean, with nice furniture and design. We stayed in a Deluxe Queen Suite. During checked in, I was informed by the hotel staff that there was also a group of people who stayed here and were also going to the concert.  The hotel has arranged for the shuttle service to take all of us to the stadium by 6 pm and the show would start at 8.30 pm.

When we arrived at the stadium, there were many people and lots of booth selling Westlife merchandise.  It was like celebrating a festival. I fangirled along with my 20 year old daughter, who became a fan of the band because of me, which I find pretty amusing as most of the teens her age barely know a thing about Westlife. My daughter hangs out with me too much that she herself is turning a bit old school.




We got VVIP tickets, but I was rather shocked that the organizer only provided us with plastic chairs to sit on. To make it worse, they even tied all plastic chairs together and the chairs were too close to each other till we had no personal space.  Anyway,  Westlife’s performance made me forget about the whole issue.  The concert was terrific and was definitely worth every penny.


Their 1st song was “Hello My Love” followed by other hit songs, namely Swear it Again, What about Now, My Love, If I let you go, Better man, Flying without wings, etc. Let me tell you this, every minute they were on stage was spectacular. I can feel my teenage self internally screaming throughout the whole concert. Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan, you are the best!!!

After the concert, we stopped by one of the booths to get a t-shirt for my daughter. 




Then, we proceeded to walk back to the hotel with huge smiles across our faces. We had our dinner, and we kept on talking about how good their performance was as we were still full of post-concert adrenaline. It was a memorable night for us.

We checked out from the hotel the next morning and head to our home.  We had a pleasant stay at Acapella Suite Hotel and we definitely will come back again.

I-City

STAYCATION AT I-CITY RESIDENCE Every time I plan on taking my mom for a holiday, I will make sure that the road trip will take no longer than 2 hours. Hence, this time I chose I-City.   I-City is a technology park located in Shah Alam where at night, the place comes alive as man-made trees brightly illuminated with millions of colorful lights were turned on. Air Supply

AIR SUPPLY LIVE AT ARENA OF STARS, RESORT WORLD GENTING HIGHLAND We had a family day earlier in Janda Baik from 14 th -15 th December 2019 which I have posted earlier.  After we checked out from Janda Baik on 15 th December 2019, we went straight to Genting Highland, which was only about 10min drive from Janda Baik. Air Supply concert was on the night itself at 8.30 pm. We checked in at Resort World Awana for 1 night.   We stayed in the Superior Deluxe Room, which accommodated the 4 of us.  We had our lunch, unpacked, and got ready to go to Arena of Stars by Awana Skyway (cable car).   From Resort World Awana, we drove and parked our car at the Awana SkyCentral, which is adjoining to Genting Highland Premium Outlets.
