STAYCATION AT I-CITY RESIDENCE

Every time I plan on taking my mom for a holiday, I will make sure that the road trip will take no longer than 2 hours. Hence, this time I chose I-City.  I-City is a technology park located in Shah Alam where at night, the place comes alive as man-made trees brightly illuminated with millions of colorful lights were turned on. The whole surrounding of I-city looked like a scene from a fairytale movie, it’s an absolutely beautiful place to walk around and I can guarantee you that seeing the sparkling bright lights will elevate your mood.




I booked at I-City Family Suite, and it is just a walking distance to the theme park, snow walk, waterpark, 5D cinema, and many more attractive activities for family fun. I-City family suite that I booked has 2 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 7 pax with Netflix and unlimited wifi. Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, rice cooker, toaster, refrigerator, kettle, and kitchen utensils.  For guests' convenience, there was a washing machine available too.  It is a corner lot unit with a spectacular view of I-City. You can literally just stand at the balcony and stare at the incredible view all night. I’ll share some pictures down below to show you how blessed I was to have stayed there.  The family suite is known as Mama Homestay. They also have tons of other facilities such as a swimming pool, gym, and others.

Upon our arrival,  the host has waited for us with the apartment keys, etc.  With no hassle, we checked in to the unit and unpacked our stuff.  Later in the evening, we walked to the I-City theme park.  As it was a weekday, the place was less crowded. We took pictures and strolled around the theme park. The decorative lightings were so lovely and attractive, such a beautiful sight for the eyes.  








There were a  few restaurants around that area, and we had our dinner at an Arabic restaurant nearby.  We didn’t go into Snow Walk as it was not suitable to take my mom in there.

At the UG floor of I City Residence, (you just have to go down the elevator)  there’s an in-house theme park,  café, convenience stores, etc.

On our 2nd day, we walked to the Sogo Mall via link bridge at Level UG of I-City Residence. It is so convenient because you don’t have to drive out to the mall. Everything there was near each other and I really enjoyed it there.

We had a nice and cozy stay at Mama Homestay and will definitely come back here again soon.

FAMILY DAY AT RUANG, JANDA BAIK  (14/12/19 – 15/12/19) It was the last trip with my family to end the year of 2019.  There were 23 of us, including children. Everybody was looking forward to this trip from the moment I secured the booking with the owner of Ruang.  We had made various plans and arrangements prior to the family day from teams’ shirts, food, telematch game, etc. We booked 7 rooms at Ruang, called Just Is, Bathe 1, Bathe 2, Bathe 3, Outpost, Lookout, and Workshop.   I stayed in Bathe 3 and what I love the most about this room was that whenever I opened the wooden door, I’d have the perfect view of the river as it was right in front of my room and I’d wake up to the sound of the river flowing in a peaceful melody.  If you want to feel the thrill, you can stay in Lookout.  It was on a higher level with a unique design. AIR SUPPLY LIVE AT ARENA OF STARS, RESORT WORLD GENTING HIGHLAND We had a family day earlier in Janda Baik from 14 th -15 th December 2019 which I have posted earlier.  After we checked out from Janda Baik on 15 th December 2019, we went straight to Genting Highland, which was only about 10min drive from Janda Baik. Air Supply concert was on the night itself at 8.30 pm. We checked in at Resort World Awana for 1 night.   We stayed in the Superior Deluxe Room, which accommodated the 4 of us.  We had our lunch, unpacked, and got ready to go to Arena of Stars by Awana Skyway (cable car).   From Resort World Awana, we drove and parked our car at the Awana SkyCentral, which is adjoining to Genting Highland Premium Outlets. We bought the cable car tickets and waited for about 30 minutes to get on it as the queue was very long because it was a school holiday.
